From Sue Bartolomeo, CYFAR Program Coordinator for the GRandS/GRG Program

On behalf of the Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension Service, we would like to thank all the grandparents who attended our grandparents raising grandchildren day celebration on September 5.  It was amazing to see seven different community groups of GRGs all come together for the purpose of acknowledging their industry, family strengths and enduring dedication.  To those grandparents who continue to serve their families in our community – we congratulate you on the highest level.  Thank you for demonstrating the importance of family sustainability.  Thank you for being there for your grandchild and giving that child another opportunity.  Thank you for being unconditional warriors for your grandchildren and positive role models for our community as a whole.  Thank you!

A HUGE thank you goes to all the agency representatives who attended the celebration as well.  Thanks for joining us in our observance day for grandparents raising grandchildren.  Thank you all for your invaluable help in providing never ending resources to our grandparents.  Your knowledge, assistance, and guidance are extremely appreciated and always valued.  Thank you always.

Thank you to County Commissioner Paulette Burdick – District 2 for declaring September 5, 2012, an honored day for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren in Palm Beach County.  Thank you.
