Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Day

In

Palm Beach County!

Every grandparent who attended had a medallion placed around their neck that read “Grandparents are #1” to honor them for being the amazing heroes they are and raising their grandchildren!

All grandparents received door prizes and give away bags!

US Senator Bill Nelson’s representative Michelle McGovern read a statement to the grandparents from Senator Nelson.

Paulette Burdick, PBC County Commissioner – District 2, reading the proclamation to the grandparents declaring Wednesday, September 5, 2012 as Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Day in Palm Beach County.

Everyone enjoyed a wonderful buffet lunch!

After lunch, the Grandparents joined in on the dancing with Dennis Mobley (in baseball cap) and showed they still have got the moves!
